    Eddie Arndt dürfte vielen, die sich hierzulande für handgemachte akustische Musik interessieren kein Unbekannter sein. Begeistert er doch bereits seit 13 Jahren zusammen mit Sarah-Jane Himmelsbach als Duo BARDIC das Publikum – bei bisher über 950 Konzerten im In- und Ausland. __________________________________________________________________________________________________ Als Solokünstler konnte Eddie Arndt mit seiner einnehmenden Musik und seinem sympathischen Auftreten bereits bei zahlreichen Konzerten und als Opening Act für bekannte Künstler wie Ron Sexsmith, The Proclaimers und Poems For Laila sowie mit Live-Auftritten im WDR-Radio überzeugen. __________________________________________________________________________________________________ Der Titel ist Programm : „Songs I Can Sing And Play On Guitar At The Same Time“. Mit charismatischer, leicht rauer Stimme präsentiert Eddie Arndt seine gefühlsstarken englischsprachigen Songs, die vom Leben und der Liebe, von Träumern und ihrer Sicht auf die Welt erzählen. Dazu liefert er mit seiner Akustikgitarre ein kraftvolles Fundament. __________________________________________________________________________________________________ „Emotive Acoustic Music“: Energie und faszinierende Dichte machen Eddie Arndts Musik aus, die sich – mit melancholischer Farbe – zwischen Indi-Pop/Rock & Alternativ Folk bewegt. Ein Mann und seine Akustikgitarre – ein spannungsvolles Programm aus Eigenkompositionen und wohl ausgesuchten, neu interpretierten Stücken anderer Songschreiber. __________________________________________________________________________________________________ Those who are interested in handmade acoustic music in germany, may know Eddie Arndt, because he is one part of the duo BARDIC which has been entertaining audiences in more than 800 concerts in and around Germany, together with his partner Sarah-Jane Himmelsbach. Also as a solo artist he has inspired his audiences with his songs and performances, not only as an opening act for Canadian Ron Sexsmith and The Proclaimers, but also live on German radio station WDR. In his program “Songs I can sing and play on guitar at the same time” Eddie accompanies himself in the old singer/songwriter style on his acoustic guitar and tells stories about life, love, of dreamers and their views of the world. We all know these stories; however Eddie is able to perform them in his own special way with his unique smoky voice. An evening at Eddie’s concerts is like an excerpt from our own life, you dry away the tears after something sad happens, and already there is something to smile or even laugh about. Most of the songs are composed by himself, but from time to time, the charismatic musician also sings songs from other songwriters giving them his own special touch. Because of their catchy melodies, and even if they are melancholic, the songs find a direct way to our ears and stay there for quite a long time after the concert is over.

    Where should I start...... The first record I called my own was "Love Gun" from Kiss and my 2. one was "Overkill" from Motörhead (still one of my favourites). But at the same time I was listening to that kind of stuff I discovered Bob Dylan's music ........ Today I like to listen to every kind of music that touches my heart and soul.-------- Here are a few artists that I really like to listen to today and some of them have been very important for me and my musical development: Bardic (of course), SJ Himmelsbach, Dave Matthews Band, Ray LaMontagne, John Butler Trio, Nizlopi, 3 Daft Monkeys, Violent Femmes, Xavier Rudd, Wallis Bird, Ezio, Dougie MacLean, Ron Sexsmith, Jason Mraz, Amos Lee, Toby Lightman, Tori Amos, Matt Singer, Friend 'n Fellow, David Gray, Colin Hay, Talk Talk, Indigo Girls, Travis, CCR, Deep Purple, Arctic Monkeys, Bon Scott and AC/DC, Kiss, Iron Maiden, Motörhead, Metallica, Slayer, Celtic Frost, The Bags (from Boston), Fugazi, NoMeansNo, The Pixies, Bad Relgion, S.O.D., Stiff Little Fingers, The Ruts, Dead Kennedys, The Exploited, Slime, Sonic Youth, New Model Army, Levellers, The Pogues, and a lot of Irish and Scottish music.
